I woke up for uni in a very bad mood at a far too early hour and decided the only thing that would pull me out of this funk was if I were to cover myself in smiling daisies for the day. So that's exactly what I did, and let me tell you it was quite effective! Love that we're clearly both feeling Lazy Oaf at the moment. I also bought Gig a pair of socks and matching note pad from their website the other day. That's right, they match hosiery with stationary - total genius! ALWL Day 2

Okay so day two and we're already stepping slightly outside of Australia, but we figure that if we're free to go between each other's countries as we please, surely the same goes for fashion. We're always on the lookout for quirky prints and this one caught our eye(s), particularly as we were looking for something fun to wear for our visit to MONA, Tasmania's infamously over-the-top art museum - FYI it was epic and so worth a visit. This label is seriously new and they make all their products in limited runs, and we can't wait to see where they go from here!

Summer Night

Chinese New Year

We were super excited to be given the task of going to Melbourne Central to shop for two Chinese New Year inspired outfits... What's a Chinese New Year inspired outfit you ask? Our thoughts exactly! But after madly running around the centre for 2 hours this is what we came up with and we are kind of loving them... particularly not bad for only spending $250! Sydney Without You

Headed up to Sydney for the weekend with Ro and co. to see Swedish House Mafia. While in town I obviously ensured there was time to pop into a couple of our favourite PR agencies and eat at a couple of our favourite cafes - of course neither of these things was quite the same without you. Absolute favourite moment of the weekend was when I was quietly eating lunch alone at The Grounds and a girl came up to me and asked if I was Stef from How Two Live! The most impressive part in all this was of course that she'd managed to tell us apart...something that even our mother often fails to do!

Photo Shoot

Had a super fun HTL shoot yesterday where we got to work with a great team of people and wear some of our favourite labels which was of course the ultimate! The concept for the shoot was really cool and despite feeling extremely awkward in front of the camera the pics turned out amazing! Very excited to share some outfit photos with everyone over the next week. Also discovered an awesome store based in Melb, Fashiondacci, which we will have to hit up later this week for some major wardrobe updates!

While I'd usually make it a rule not to go to a cafe on its opening day, this place was so pumping as I drove by this morning that it caught my eye and lured me in. Turns out its by the owners of Two Birds One Stone which would explain why it was so packed on day one. Meal highlights were polenta porridge (see it on insta @howtwolive) and chocolate milkshake. An outfit change and quick tanning session later, Ro decided he needed to teach me how to ride his fixie...as if I'm not uncoordinated enough on my own two legs. Despite being a disaster it did make for a particularly hilarious afternoon and took me back to Copenhagen days.

Aus Open Final

After two weeks of crazy tennis it was time to head to the men's final with the fam and I couldn't resist pulling out this fluro get up for the occasion. Absolutely loved watching the epic Djokovictory unravel! It was almost as enjoyable as seeing all the Murray fans get annoyed at us for our very loud and very excessive Djokovic cheering.. only down side to the match was that I lost $30!

Australia Day

Spent my Australia Day at Jerome's place for his BBQ and Spa Party. Unfortunately due to Melbourne's awful unpredictable weather the day was fit for neither of these things, but pretty much nothing can stop me from pulling out a cute summer outfit. Afterwards I headed over to (surprise, surprise...) the tennis, for the women's final. Favourite moment was when Redfoo ripped off his jacket to reveal him and his poss had spelt "VIKA" across their tees. Although it didn't compare to the guy who ripped off his top to reveal the intricate  portrait of Djokovic drawn on his chest.

Star Gazing

Made the genius decision to ditch our usual dinner spot and instead had a picnic on the beach. Spread was right up our alley - tuna sandwiches (with the crusts cut off) and chocolate chip cookies. Best part of the night was definitely the incredible star gazing that took place after dinner though.. at one point we thought we spotted a shooting star which we then decided was actually a meteor coming towards earth to kill everyone. Not to worry though, we later realised it was just Maui in the distance. Crisis averted!

Reluctantly left our beautiful resort and headed into town for a delicious Mexican feast, followed by a few drinks at the local pub. Brought back so many memories of when Sally and I backpacked around Hawaii what feels like forever ago. Can't believe you're underage here - the great thing about us looking like twins is that we can both get in on my ID! Thought it best to leave the camera at home for our night out on the town in case things got a little messy, so I snapped on the balcony beforehand - gotta love a little twosie action.

Hawaii Heaven

Today was just another day in Hawaii heaven. The morning consisted of the world's most delicious buffet breakfast - my favourite combo of bagels, scrambled eggs and pain au chocolat, and a walk through the gardens, followed by an afternoon spent splitting my time between the pool and the beach. Feeling like pretty much nothing could disturb this peace...not even the bird who insists on pecking at our window at 7 every morning.

Hitting Up Honolulu

It might look a little sunny in the picture, but don't be fooled - this is the third straight day of clouds and rain getting in the way of our summer holiday. So today with tanning off the cards we decided to hit the streets of Honolulu for a bit of a tour. Pulled out my walking gear (or the closest thing I have to it) which included these awesome new Converse platforms which are one of my favourite LA purchases. Exploring the town by foot turned out to be a slight struggle so we ended up renting a Mustang convertible and driving to the North shore to watch people surfing the infamous huge waves of Pipeline (rain prevented me getting any cool shots but check out insta @howtwolive for a pic of the waves).

How Two Give Day 7

With 2013 coming up there's nothing quite like cleaning out the wardrobe to make way for a new year of beautiful new purchases. We've found that while giving away clothes is a difficult task, giving away bras is much easier...and it may surprise you to know that there are organisations out there who want them. Initiatives like the Uplift Project collect second hand bras and distribute them to women in disadvantaged communities. They offer a great solution to help make space for next season's trends, and at the same time you'll be helping women who don't have access to a basic thing we take for granted.

How Two Give Day 4

Here at HTL it's no secret that we have a love for all things animals, and perhaps a lesser known love for a good glass (or two) of wine. So when we heard about an initiative that combines these two loves, we were all over it. Friends of The Zoo is an Australian-based organisation that collects people's old corks and resells them to be used to make items ranging from placemats to shoes, and with the proceeds they fund various projects which benefit the elephants at Melbourne Zoo. With Christmas coming up and New Years following closely, keeping all the corks you pop out of those delicious bottles of wine is just a small way you can be giving back.
