While I'd usually make it a rule not to go to a cafe on its opening day, this place was so pumping as I drove by this morning that it caught my eye and lured me in. Turns out its by the owners of Two Birds One Stone which would explain why it was so packed on day one. Meal highlights were polenta porridge (see it on insta @howtwolive) and chocolate milkshake. An outfit change and quick tanning session later, Ro decided he needed to teach me how to ride his fixie...as if I'm not uncoordinated enough on my own two legs. Despite being a disaster it did make for a particularly hilarious afternoon and took me back to Copenhagen days.

Golf Day

For my final afternoon here I decided to get my golf on and go watch the tournament that's on - the Mitsubishi Electric Golf Championship. While swinging a club ain't exactly my thing, there's nothing better than watching someone else sweat while you enjoy an afternoon drink or two. Obviously took the opportunity to dress up, and while sadly I'd left my stripes and knee-high socks at home, I did manage to pull together this pretty cute golf-appropriate outfit, with the golf buggy as the perfect accessory to finish it off.

Had a super fun day which began as every day should, with my favourite breakfast at Truman, and ended as every day should, with a great addition to the wardrobe. Was lucky enough to get the opportunity to sift through a sea of vintage dresses designed over the last century, a serious treat! A little bit obsessed with this Kinky Gerlinky bag Edes bought me, it's pink and has a love heart on it thats up of little love hearts...honestly what more could I possibly ask from a bag?

Met Jade for breakfast at Las Chicas this morning - firstly, food was seriously delicious, can't wait for you to be living around the corner from there! But what I got really excited about was the bear look-a-like on the table next to me! It was the most gorgeous golden retriever (second to bear of course) and it's owner kept sneaking it bites of her scone under the table. Was so cute, I am now eagerly awaiting Milou's arrival, wish it was February already!

Stumbled across this building somewhere between treating myself to a new pair of House Of Holland sunnies and an American Apparel bumbag. It's an artwork that explores what it's like to be an urban Aboriginal living in contemporary Australia.... but I just like it because it's pretty! PS how cute are the question marks on these socks! Long Weekend

Decided to go to the Yarra Valley for the long weekend, my god it is so beautiful there! Spent the day tanning in the sun, followed by an afternoon walk around the hills and a late outdoor dinner at Innocent Bystander (which was delicious). How cute is this pink cuff! I found it in Jerome's room the other day... fairly sure it used to be a crown on one of our old dolls but it went with my outfit perfectly. PS. as you can see tan is coming along solidly, can't wait for you to come home so I can have a full time tanning buddy!

Le Marais Graffiti

Spent a lazy Sunday wandering around Le Marais, eating Nutella crepes, and attending my weekly conversation class (where I'm by far the worst at speaking French!). Discovered this incredible graffiti wall which happens to be right near we live, not sure how I've managed to walk passed so many times and not notice it. Thought it was seriously worthy of an HTL snap...and could give Jake some inspiration for his Linton graffiti!

Triple Print

Had an hour to kill between uni and work so decided to stop by Nana's to say hello. Had a half day stopover in Paris, so decided to check out this pool on the River Seine I'd heard so much about. While I was expecting kids running around everywhere and oldies doing aqua aerobics, I got guys in Vilebrequins and a 2 hour wait to get in. Even public pools are cooler in Paris. Poolside in Mallorca

Spent our final day in Mallorca by the pool, which let's be honest is how we spend most days here. It's also my final day with Appel for a while which is sad...but we'll always have Paris! Balenciaga and Comme Des Garcons

I'm not usually one for museums, but exceptions apply when fashion is involved. Went to Balenciaga and Comme Des Garcons exhibitions held at a recently relaunched space that showcases emerging and high end fashion designers, houses the IFM fashion school, and also includes DJs and a couple of bar/restaurants. Semester abroad perhaps?

Breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien

For Ro's last day here I knew I had to take him to 'Pain'! It may be a chain but oh my the food is delicious...particularly love the communal tables and the spread-sharing (dark chocolate spread on raisin bread is even more unbelievable than I remembered). Finished off the afternoon with a stroll around Le Marais and a quick farewell-tan in Square du Temple Park. Au revoir Ro!

Pope Joan
