While I'd usually make it a rule not to go to a cafe on its opening day, this place was so pumping as I drove by this morning that it caught my eye and lured me in. Turns out its by the owners of Two Birds One Stone which would explain why it was so packed on day one. Meal highlights were polenta porridge (see it on insta @howtwolive) and chocolate milkshake. An outfit change and quick tanning session later, Ro decided he needed to teach me how to ride his fixie...as if I'm not uncoordinated enough on my own two legs. Despite being a disaster it did make for a particularly hilarious afternoon and took me back to Copenhagen days.

Ventured into the city today for a pre-season showing of a bunch of different designers and labels. Discovered this awesome gift subscription concept called Letters From Letty where you sign up for anywhere between one to twelve months, and they send you cool unique pressies monthly. And great news, they ship all over the world! Already brainstorming who I can buy this as a present for. Metal Couture by WLG also caught my eye with their incredible collection of gothic jewellery, and went home with a goodie bag full of T2 teas - loving that they've named one of their teas 'Melbourne Breakfast'.

Bedridden

After spending the last 2 days sick in bed, today I threw on my most colourful outfit in an attempt to make myself feel better. Thankfully it miraculously worked and I'll be back in action and ready for the tennis tomorrow. Been seriously devastated that I've missed the last 48 hours of my beloved Australian Open...although between Fox Sports and Lance Armstrong on Oprah I've been kept very well entertained. Still wish you would've been here to keep me company!

Hello Kitty Shoes

After a week in this routine consisting of nothing but eating, sleeping, tanning and relaxing, decided to change it up today - if only very slightly - and visit the pond to watch the sharks being fed. The 3 baby sharks have become like our pets while we've been here, earning the nicknames Carrie, Charlotte and Samantha (we never cared too much for Miranda). Dying to take Samantha the hamerhead home for Bo to play with!

Hawaii Heaven

Today was just another day in Hawaii heaven. The morning consisted of the world's most delicious buffet breakfast - my favourite combo of bagels, scrambled eggs and pain au chocolat, and a walk through the gardens, followed by an afternoon spent splitting my time between the pool and the beach. Feeling like pretty much nothing could disturb this peace...not even the bird who insists on pecking at our window at 7 every morning.

Morning in Paradise

Discovered this amazing chain of stores in LA called Wasteland, where they sell vintage as well as a lot of cool Aussie labels like Minkpink and Cameo. I picked up this incredible vintage pink skirt for $29 and have been dying to wear it - thought a beach walk in the wind would be the perfect time to christen it, and of course make for a great style snap. This is the most beautiful place on earth and I can't think of a better place to go for a morning stroll - especially when it ended with us watching whales jumping out of the water right off the shore. Paradise.

Mid-Week Getaway

All ready and rugged up for my mid-week getaway to the Yarra Valley. Got invited to escape from the city for a couple of days which you know I would never turn down. Can't believe summer has officially started and I'm still in a fur coat and moon boots. Gotta say though I am very happy to have had the chance to rock these adorable earmuffs. Kim & Jonny's Wedding

Yesterday we had the big day...Ro's sister Kim's wedding. Somehow a day forecast to rain turned into a perfect sunny afternoon, and it was seriously one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever been to. I got to wear nana's dress which for once earned me compliments instead of the usual stares. And after months of subtle hinting (aka begging and pleading) Ro has finally had his dreams come true and made it onto the blog! Welcome to HTL Ro.

La Seine River

Today's HTL was originally taken as a test shot for a shoot we were doing, but after turning out to actually be quite a cool photo it was promoted to style snap. As you know I can't say what the actual shoot was for but that will be revealed soon! We chose a bridge over the Seine River for the location to get some great shots of Paris, which just made me more sad that I barely have any time left here...excited to see you but can't believe I have to say goodbye to this magical place!

Lyon

Jerome and I have come down to Lyon to spend a couple of days with Meme (aka grandma). We decided to head into town for the afternoon, and while on our way to the Metro station we ended up slightly lost and wandered into this incredible secret garden that was complete with an old wooden swing and a chicken coop! Almost found ourselves in trouble when we were discovered by the owners, but played the clueless tourists and pulled out the thick Aussie accents, and we soon had them giving us a tour of the place. Gotta love the Australia card, works every time.

Long Weekend

Decided to go to the Yarra Valley for the long weekend, my god it is so beautiful there! Spent the day tanning in the sun, followed by an afternoon walk around the hills and a late outdoor dinner at Innocent Bystander (which was delicious). How cute is this pink cuff! I found it in Jerome's room the other day... fairly sure it used to be a crown on one of our old dolls but it went with my outfit perfectly. PS. as you can see tan is coming along solidly, can't wait for you to come home so I can have a full time tanning buddy!

Paris Masters Finals (Go Poland!)

After a week of living and breathing tennis, today it all came to an end with the finals. We decided to pull out the red and white in support of Polish player Jerzy Janowicz. He may have ended up losing, but we had fun spending the day in dress up, and yelling out phrases drawn from Appel's limited Polish vocabulary - pretty sure us screaming "liar" and "god can only help those who help themselves" couldn't have been all that helpful, but we figured he'd be happy to hear something familiar.

Paris Masters Day 1

Being the crazed Tennis fans that we are, we decided to skip school for the week and bought 7-day tickets to the Paris Tennis Masters. Not one to miss an opportunity to dress up, I opted for checks, florals and my two-toned wedges. Thinking I would totally stand out from a crowd full of people in tracksuits and runners, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself blending in with the tennis-goers in their suits and their heels...and then I had to remind myself, this isn't the Aus Open...this is Paris!

Twosie Week Day 1

Kicking off twosie week with an outfit I've been dying to wear since our London spree! I'm quite sure I was mistaken for some sort of street performer more than once today as I walked past the darkly dressed people of Paris in my crazy colours. Had a rare few hours of sunshine so decided to head to our local park for some lunch, although struggled to get my baguette down with the couple making out next to me...I get it people it's the City of Love, but give me a break while I'm eating!

First day back in Melbourne was hectic to say the least! Spent it running around meeting with designers for PFW wrap up, meaning I was surrounded by beautiful clothing all day. London Day Out

Day 2 of our epic London shopping spree saw us pull out the flares and furs and head to Brick Lane for a bit of vintage. Visited an incredible store called Beyond Retro, which is pretty much London East's answer to Topshop, with wall after wall lined with vintage goodies, mainly from the 80s and 90s. Couldn't help but stop by the real Topshop afterwards for a quick round 2 before heading back to Paris.

Day 8 Paris Fashion Week

Went to the Shiatzy Chen show at the Intercontintal Hotel, where we saw some amazing pieces in the most beautiful venue we've been to all week. Had to make a quick exit half way through the show (apparently in Paris repeating 'malade' over and over again to security guards opens emergency exit doors) to make our train to London...Farewell PFW we've had fun.
