Fish Facts

Felt like a change from the usual dinner choice of Hanoi (as I was there both nights prior) so we headed to Hooked for a delicious fishy feast. I opted for the grilled house fish with salad but I got a little excited with the never ending supply of Big Red and turned my dinner into ketchup with a side of snapper more than anything else. Was very tempted to sneak next door to LOTF for some takeaway onion rings but decided you'd be too jealous so I'm waiting until you're home - which is today! YAY!!

Day 6 Paris Fashion Week

While in Paris we couldn't resist a visit to our favourite hotel...particularly as it's one of the most lively places during PFW. After a drink at the bar in the presence of some serious fashionistas, we were invited to preview a couple of jewellery labels who had showrooms in the hotel. Once they heard our outfits were by an Aussie label (Shakuhachi of course), they were eager to hear our tips on where they could stock in Australia.

Day 2 Paris Fashion Week

Day two and you can really feel that Fashion Week is in full swing in this city...particularly when people are wishing you a 'Happy Fashion Week' as you pass them on the street. Attended our second Belgian show today with Dries Van Noten, loved seeing a bit of print on print...and couldn't have been dressed more appropriately in our floral Tigerlily/Kate Sylvester combos.

Had a half day stopover in Paris, so decided to check out this pool on the River Seine I'd heard so much about. While I was expecting kids running around everywhere and oldies doing aqua aerobics, I got guys in Vilebrequins and a 2 hour wait to get in. Even public pools are cooler in Paris. Balenciaga and Comme Des Garcons

I'm not usually one for museums, but exceptions apply when fashion is involved. Went to Balenciaga and Comme Des Garcons exhibitions held at a recently relaunched space that showcases emerging and high end fashion designers, houses the IFM fashion school, and also includes DJs and a couple of bar/restaurants. Semester abroad perhaps?

A Night With Ro And Fam

Went for dinner with Ro and the family to Il Bacaro last night which was super cute. I was so excited that I could finally wear my birthday necklace (or bib as I like to refer to it) out for the first time! It was also our last night with Lydia which is very sad... who can I get to take photos for me now?!

Picnic in Luxembourg Gardens

Paid a visit to our former Paris home for some (not so solid) tanning. Enjoyed a macaron-based park picnic courtesy of Dalloyau - remember our favourite? The chocolate hamburgers managed to momentarily distract me from my quickly fading tan...then the sugar rush wore off I and went home and booked a trip to Mallorca.

Le Tour De France

Day 1 in Paris and straight into it. Spent the afternoon on the Champs Elysees watching the final stage of Le Tour de France. Managed to schmooze our way into a corporate tent that came complete with lunch, dessert and unlimited alcohol…major score. FYI our apartment is amazing, but more of that to come.
