Back in Paris for all of one day and can't believe I'm already heading home. 24 hours of travelling by myself is feeling like it's gonna be a bit of a struggle... Although I do have these new amazing platforms to keep me company. Love how London never disappoints in the shoe department! See you soon Melbourne!

London Day Out

Day 2 of our epic London shopping spree saw us pull out the flares and furs and head to Brick Lane for a bit of vintage. Visited an incredible store called Beyond Retro, which is pretty much London East's answer to Topshop, with wall after wall lined with vintage goodies, mainly from the 80s and 90s. Couldn't help but stop by the real Topshop afterwards for a quick round 2 before heading back to Paris.

Harajuku Nails

First day in London was everything we wanted it to be, consisting of a full day stint in Topshop, 3 trips to Pret and a 4 hour nail appointment. With our growing love for all things Harajuku, I was dying to try Kawaii nails while here. Ended up finding a nail technician via twitter who was absolutely amazing - best part was I didn't even need to leave the hotel room... she set up shop right there!

Paris Fashion Week Wrap Up

So this is the first time in HTL's 3 months of living that we're straying from our usual style of post. We had such a hectic time at PFW that there was no way we could fit every adventure and every outfit into the usual daily entry, so we thought we'd write a wrap up to finish off the week. Plus, who doesn't love a good collage or two?

Fashion Frenzy...

Just showing up to the events was quite an affair, with up to hundreds of journalists, bloggers and fans outside each show. We loved getting photographed and interviewed before going inside, although we did come across the occasional disgruntled journalist who was less than friendly to say the least...we decided this was just all part of the experience (and made a mental note to say no to them taking our photo at the next show).

Out and About...

As crazy as our days were running between venues, we did manage to squeeze in a little quality sister time in the City of Light. Morning Starbucks runs, our favourite local Greek eatery and the odd shopping spree all became part of our Paris routine.

Day 8 Paris Fashion Week

Went to the Shiatzy Chen show at the Intercontintal Hotel, where we saw some amazing pieces in the most beautiful venue we've been to all week. Had to make a quick exit half way through the show (apparently in Paris repeating 'malade' over and over again to security guards opens emergency exit doors) to make our train to London...Farewell PFW we've had fun. Day 7 Paris Fashion Week

Began the day with lunch in the beautiful courtyard of the Westin Hotel, followed by the Valentin Yudashkin show where we were wowed by his incredible tailored pieces and striking gowns. As we left the hotel intending on heading home, the incredible sight of Rachel Zoe, Joey Maalouf and Anna Dello Russo pulled us into a fashion trance and we ended up following them all the way to the Chloe show. Slaves to fashion or creepy stalkers? We'd like to think a bit of both.

Day 6 Paris Fashion Week

While in Paris we couldn't resist a visit to our favourite hotel...particularly as it's one of the most lively places during PFW. After a drink at the bar in the presence of some serious fashionistas, we were invited to preview a couple of jewellery labels who had showrooms in the hotel. Once they heard our outfits were by an Aussie label (Shakuhachi of course), they were eager to hear our tips on where they could stock in Australia.

We'd heard that the famous Jardin des Tuileries is the place to be during PFW so we headed over to check it out between shows. It was completely packed as photographers, camera crews, tourists and fashion-lovers swarmed the beautiful gardens trying to get in on the action. Matching as ever, we braved the cold in our Lilyhart twosies which seemed to draw lots of attention...it's like people think we dress outrageously or something..

Day 4 Paris Fashion Week

With no shows on the agenda today, we decided to try our luck getting into the Isabel Marant show...and when that failed, we opted for celeb spotting out the front. After sighting Rachel Zoe, Joey Maalouf, Nina Garcia and Anna Dello Russo, we concluded that the people-watching was just as eventful as if we made it inside. Found these amazing 6 euro sunnies in a Le Marais costume shop this morning - the perfect addition to our pink and blue Alice McCall ensembles!

Day 3 Paris Fashion Week

When we found out we'd be attending Paris Fashion Week the one designer we knew we had to see was Manish Arora. With his amazing Indian-inspired jewel embellishments and headpieces the show was definitely the highlight so far. So excited to finally be wearing these one of a kind Ixiah shoes that were made specially for their campaign shoot...might have to try out wrapping our own shoes in material. We're thinking fur and velvet.

Day 1 Paris Fashion Week

Day one started with matching outfits, Jean Paul Lespagnard and his incredible prints, and a few pushy photographers (as one of them put it, "welcome to fashion").
