Paris Masters Day 1

Being the crazed Tennis fans that we are, we decided to skip school for the week and bought 7-day tickets to the Paris Tennis Masters. Not one to miss an opportunity to dress up, I opted for checks, florals and my two-toned wedges. Thinking I would totally stand out from a crowd full of people in tracksuits and runners, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself blending in with the tennis-goers in their suits and their heels...and then I had to remind myself, this isn't the Aus Open...this is Paris!

Weekend in Brussels

We decided to spend the weekend in Brussels for some sightseeing and shopping. After stepping out into 5 degree weather our big plans for the day quickly turned into an afternoon spent in a beer bar with a giant food platter and board games. At least the cold meant it was finally time to pull out the winter knits, and of course the incredible bright pink earmuffs...FYI Appel has matching green ones - can you handle!

Bow Tie is Back

Decided to make the most of my morning before heading to work so met up with Jake for a quick coffee at the cutest little place in Windsor - particularly love the bike and outdoor area! Literally been dying to wear this bow tie ever since we rocked it in Lilyhart at PFW but knew I needed the perfect outfit to do it justice. Unfortunately I only realised I had it on upside down after I took the photo, my bad! PS just noticed our oh so similar blazer-shirt-tie combos... hilarious, love your work!

Lunch at St Edmonds

Had a ridiculous lunch at St Edmonds for Elliot's firthday* before going to see Lawless (which was epic). I actually can't get enough of this place and am fairly ashamed to admit that I've now been there three times in the last six days. I may even go as far as to say their mushroom dish is the best I've ever had. Also, thought you'd be happy to hear I finally went to Yo Chi..so good, can't believe you didn't force me to go there sooner!

Coutume Part 1

Headed across the river to check out this cafe we've heard has killer coffee and is meant to be a taste of Melbourne in Paris. We only made it as far as the front door when an Aussie guy came out and informed us that they were closed, as apparently "Monday is Paris' Sunday". Not sure how it's taken us 4 months to figure that out, but stay tuned for Coutume Part 2 as we'll definitely be heading back soon. At least the outfit killed!

Thumper II

Le Marais Graffiti

Spent a lazy Sunday wandering around Le Marais, eating Nutella crepes, and attending my weekly conversation class (where I'm by far the worst at speaking French!). Discovered this incredible graffiti wall which happens to be right near we live, not sure how I've managed to walk passed so many times and not notice it. Thought it was seriously worthy of an HTL snap...and could give Jake some inspiration for his Linton graffiti!

Twosie Week Day 5

Over the last couple of weeks I've been going to baking classes at La Cuisine Paris. Mastering my macarons, eclairs and croissants has been so much fun and I always spend the rest of the day smelling like butter (in a good way). Twosie Week Day 4

Was craving tacos and margaritas all day so decided to head to Fonda for what was a very happy hour. Although I am and will forever be Radio Mexico's number 1 fan, my grilled chicken and quinoa burrito really did hit the spot. This twosie has definitely got to be one of my all time favourite HTL outfits... I'm guessing the guy who yelled 'nice pajamas' out of his car window would argue differently though.

Twosie Week Day 3

I didn't have school today but couldn't resist accompanying Appel just to stop by Bagels and Brownies for lunch. Just as good as it's tasted in my dreams for the past year! Seeing as my cameraman was with me in the photo today, this is officially the first HTL I've taken on self-timer...rather happy with how it turned out, although we had to endure many a stare and giggle from passers-by to get it to this point. Had cousin circle dinner at Jerome's which was lots of fun as always. While the spread he put on was particularly impressive (homemade falafel, dips and tabbouleh), the ridiculous sunset seemed to steal his thunder. Twosie Week Day 1

Kicking off twosie week with an outfit I've been dying to wear since our London spree! I'm quite sure I was mistaken for some sort of street performer more than once today as I walked past the darkly dressed people of Paris in my crazy colours. Had a rare few hours of sunshine so decided to head to our local park for some lunch, although struggled to get my baguette down with the couple making out next to me...I get it people it's the City of Love, but give me a break while I'm eating!

Studley Park

Was so happy the sun came out for my day off yesterday. Knew it wouldn't last so obviously had to take full advantage. Did my folio outside for a couple of hours followed by an afternoon of scones, jam and cream on the Yarra at Studley Park. Ventured across the river to try this cafe that serves nothing but (you guessed it) eggs. A half hour wait seems to be customary in Paris, but once we made it past that it was a seriously delicious meal. Afterwards we wandered over to Le Bon Marche where I made my very first purchase for my new place back home - a Missoni blanket! It's so beautiful and I swear it could double as a wrap, so it may just be making an HTL appearance sometime soon...

New Job

All decked out in Topshop for my first day as the new Topman personal shopping assistant. Hanging Out in Paris

So I'm finally getting back into regular life in Paris. Today consisted of getting abused by a mean manicurist, consuming two mocha Frappuccinos, walking around in the rain after forgetting my umbrella at home, learning how to make eclairs (and then of course devouring them), and some solid HTL brainstorming. Now that I've written it down it sounds kind of depressing, but it was actually a great day!

Triple Print

Had an hour to kill between uni and work so decided to stop by Nana's to say hello. French Class

Day 1 of French class at the Alliance Francaise. So weird to be back here after a year! And particularly strange not to be taking extra long lunch breaks with you in the cafeteria. Back Home

First day back in Melbourne was hectic to say the least! Spent it running around meeting with designers for PFW wrap up, meaning I was surrounded by beautiful clothing all day. Nuit Blanche

Headed out for Nuit Blanche, where the city hosts hundreds of free events and museums are open all night. Made it 20 steps from our front door when we stumbled upon a live percussion/electro concert at the Pompidou Centre, staged on the 3rd floor balcony with the audience watching from the street below. So awesome! Luckily I'd happened to be wearing my festival bumbag and Lilyhart print leggings...serious concert-appropriate attire.
